Chapter 2: Litters of Kittens

Welcome back to the Avani Legacy! When we last left off our founder, Abra had finally found out what secret her new husband was keeping from her. They managed to patch things up and consummated their marriage to the tune of a beautiful lullaby.

This family fishes a lot - frankly they need the money that the fish bring in.

I gave Leighton a makeover. Now he's more suburban dad looking instead of recluse emo guy - I think this fits him better. By the way, I finally have stats for Leighton and Sam!

Leighton's favorites are Indie music, pancakes and the color purple. He is a good, frugal family man who is also very brave and ambitious. His LTW is to raise 5 kids from babies to teens which is awesome because that's Abra's wish too!

Sam's favorites are kiddie music, french toast and the color green. He was an easily excitable and artistic toddler. He became absent minded when he reached childhood.

Uh, Abra... why did you leave work early? You were going to get a promotion! I don't see that you got a promotion! What's going on!?

Abra: "Oh, I just needed to pop into some maternity clothes. My boss put me on mandatory maternity leave."

She won't let you work because you're pregnant? Isn't that illegal or something?

Ugh. They so needed that raise :(

Meanwhile, Leighton spends most of his time at the gym, always striving for the next promotion. Luckily he can also eat, shower and sleep while he's there.

See pregnant lady. See pregnant lady go crazy. See crazy pregnant lady throw ball.

Abra: "What's the question? Why was 6 afraid of 7? Hmmm... that's a chin scratcher alright"

Awww... Sam is excited for a half brother or sister! I never had a sim with a step kid before  - it's fun to watch their relationship grow.

Sam is such a nerd, he even does his homework when he goes to a friend's house after school. I bet he doesn't even notice the beautiful view at sunset.

Sam: "It seems to be getting darker... It's getting hard to read this!"

Leighton: "Whoa. You've changed a lot in the past 2 days while I've been at the gym. You're uh, so..."

Abra: "You got something to say mister?"

 Leighton: "Oh, I was just going to say that you're so... beautiful!"

So, I'm dumb and thought that my sims had to go to the grocery store to sell their fish and plants and stuff. So, I sent Abra there to get some extra money before the baby came. Then she walked to the park to fish and promptly went into labor... 

I was hoping that she would just have it at the park but she just calmly walked to the hospital. In kitten heels no less.

A basket? What did you give birth to? A litter of kittens?

Abra: "No silly! I only had two kittens, er babies. But, I couldn't carry them both by myself and Leighton's at work so I got a basket! It think it's cute!

Wait, you had two kittens babies!? *headdesk*

Abra: "Well... there's only one crib so I'll just leave this baby on the porch, okay?"


Fine by me I guess.  Lord knows we can't afford another crib. Oh wait! Hold please...

Leighton left work with a promotion just in time! Yay, no babies on the porch!

This is Apricot, she likes Indie music, Key Lime Pie and the color turquoise. So far she is excitable and artistic.

This is Apple, she likes pop music, sushi and hot pink. She is brave and love the outdoors.

The next day...

Leighton: "Hey, you wanna woo hoo?"

Abra: "Eww... no! Are you crazy? I just gave birth! GTFO!"

Leighton: "Aw man! Nobody loves me!  *Pouts*"

Simultaneous snuggling...

A few boring sim days later... toddler time!

Excitable sims are.... excited!

It's hard to tell how these two will turn out especially in this picture because I was dumb and couldn't remember how to change a toddler's appearance. (I thought an adult needed to do it for them) They both have their dad's super dark brown eyes and it looks like brown hair.

...and let the toddler skilling begin!

I guess since she's still on forced maternity leave she might as well teach the kids some things.

I bought Sam a cake for his birthday but no one came out to watch him grow up :(

Sam: "I wish I was more interesting so people wouldn't ignore me"

Sam grew up well and became a genius! Which means he is an artistic but absent minded genius who gets excited easily. Sounds like Einstein.

After his makeover at the gym, Sam went to the park to troll for women. There he met Kaylynn Langerak of Sims 2 maid fame.

Sam: "Oh... she is a teen and she is beautiful and she finds me interesting!"

So Sam and Kaylynn went on a maybe date to the art museum. They were having a good time until Mort started creeping on them.

Sam: "Uh... hey, Mort. What's up?"

Mort: "Nothing really. I just wanted some face time in this legacy"

Right... so that's where I'm going to leave you dear reader. Will Abra and Leighton survive twin toddlers? Will Leighton ever get a kiss from Kaylynn or any woman? Will there be more kittens babies?
