After Leighton left Abra on the beach she returned home feeling lost and confused. Rather than face those feelings, she buried herself in a book as she waited for Leighton to return.
Luckily, he wasn't gone for long. But... he certainly did return with a surprise!
Abra: "Where did you get that toddler!?"
Leighton: "He's... this is Sam, my son."
Abra: "You have a son? Why didn't you tell me about him?"
Leighton: "I'm sorry, I know I should have told you about him. But... I just didn't know how! Everything moved so quickly and I was afraid that you would run away from me if you knew."
Abra: "What!? That's ridiculous. I can't put up with this right now. I'm calling a taxi to take me... somewhere, anywhere but here!"
After Abra left I made Leighton and Sam wait on the curb while I built the family a house.
After the house was built Leighton helped himself to some leftover Mac and Cheese and thought about how he could make things right with his new wife.
When Abra returned the newlyweds went to their new bedroom to talk things through.
Leighton: "I'm really so sorry Abra. Sam was born shortly after I graduated from high school. His mom was my girlfriend but she didn't want anything to do with our son so I've been raising him ever since. I just didn't know how to tell you because I was so scared of losing you"
Abra: "Oh Leighton, I would never leave you because you have a son. I'm family-oriented, remember? I love kids and I'm actually really excited about having a step son!"
Leighton: "You forgive me?"
Abra: "Of course Dear. But, if you ever lie to me again I will make sure you live to regret it"
Leighton: *gulp* "Wanna Whoo hoo?"
I'm really rethinking that purple and black cow print bedspread right about now. *sigh*
After patching things up with Leighton, Abra snuck outside to get to know her step son a little bit. She really was thrilled to have a kid in the house already, even if he did look like a weird, bald alien. However, this bonding session was interrupted by Abra's need to puke in the toilet. Gosh, those hormones work fast.
And that's when Sam decided to grow up all by himself on the porch. Poor little guy...
Sam: "This has been the best day ever! I got a step mom, a new house and sparklies! Yays!"
The poor kid had to eat his leftovers on the toilet the next morning but he really didn't seem to care. He was super excited about his tiny, crappy new house. He gets excited a lot actually but I can't remember what his traits are... hmmm. I will write them down next time! :)
It looks like things are going to work out for the Avani family afterall! Please stay tuned for the next chapter where we will introduce at least part of Generation 2 (we have to have 5 kids, remember!)
Thanks for reading!
